France v China first half

Well at least Les Bleus have not given up an early goal...that is about the most positive thing I can say. Ribery looks good, no surprise. Anelka seems more committed to holding the the center forward role, but was caught drifting around again. Gourcuff is active, but cannot seem to spring the last pass. The defense seems well organized, then again not facing a top notch offense.

What remains a huge concern is the lack of any offense coming from the right side. The one break Govou had, after a defended Chinese set piece, he pushed the ball up the right channel only to pass weakly to Ribery, eventually losing the possession. Frustrating to say the least. Domenech needs to wake up and realize that the pitch has a right side not just a left side....

wow, what a disaster. a scoreless draw would've been bad enough, but this was embarrassing. French attack is dire if Gallas is the most consistent scoring option.

Alas I agree this is not good...
