While tomorrow many of us will be focusing on exciting friendlies or nail biting world cup playoffs, we should also remember the passing of German Keeper Robert Enke this week to an apparent suicide. He leaves behind his wife and a baby girl. Sometimes we forget that the players have personal and family issues that can at times become overwhelming. We place professional footballers and athletes on a pedestal. At times like these we realize that they remain the same as the rest of us - with happy times and sad time - it is tragic when those happy times lead to what happened. May he rest in peace. And may his wife and daughter find the strength they will need.
