FRANCE : Lloris - Sagna, Gallas, Abidal, Evra - A. Diarra, L. Diarra - Anelka, Gourcuff, Henry - Gignac.
IRLANDE : Given - O'Shea, Dunne, St. Ledger, Kilbane - Andrews, Whelan - Lawrence, Duff - Doyle, Rob. Keane
Anelka on the right, Henry on the left with Gignac up front is not surprising and should bring much offensive power to the French attack with Gourcuff supporting the offense. ADiarra was favored over a nicked up Toulalan, which I think is a blessing in disguise since the Bordeaux man brings added height to Les Bleus which will be crucial on set pieces. Trapattoni seems to be looking for a more defensive start to the match, maybe looking to hold off the French for the first half or 60 minutes before looking to strike on a late counter.
