Welcome to the "Frog," my little piece of cyberspace to talk about my passion - le foot (or soccer for my North American friends) especially anything around French football. Of course I will have some guest contributors that might want to discuss other aspects of footy!
I support Les Bleus, Arsenal and PSG but really just love watching, analyzing and following the beautiful game.

Thank you Zidane....
Les Bleus in the finals...wow. Too exhausted to comment...plus I have my own futball match to go to.
For now all I will say is Merci les vieux, Merci Zidane.
One more victory! It will not be easy but it can be done.
Allez les BLEUS!!!!!!

well, to assuage your stress you should think about strategy. Italia has an incredible defense, with a magic goal player. I do not believe they have a good midfield, and they have great strikers on long range attack. France has strong defense, an incredible midfield and a possibly great striker when he is made in position to strike. Should Domenech continue with presenent starters or take two strikers to split the Italian defense???
Very good question. I would have to stick with the adage that stay with what got you there. So I do not see Domenech bringing in a second striker.
I think that the Italian defense is great, but there are some cracks. They were fortunate that teams like Ukraine hit two posts. And yes Buffon is the best goalkeeper in the world, but he has been put to the test in many games this world cup. While he has stepped up, he is still being called upon to save the vaunted Italian defense when they spring leaks.
As we draw closer I will give more thoughts on this game....
